Suggested: Walking or some other form of heart strengthening activity for at least 10 minutes, ideally before these exercises are performed.

“Daily Dozen” Exercise List

  1. Wall squats – Strength
  2. Arm rotations – Strength
  3. Wall push-ups – Strength
  4. Heel and toe raises – Strength
  5. Single leg lift – Strength & balance
  6. Tandem walk – Balance
  7. Upper back – stretch
  8. Chest stretch
  9. Arm raises – Stretch
  10. Upper leg stretch
  11. Standing knee to chest – low back stretch
  12. Calf and hip stretch
Due to the feedback we received suggesting that some of the exercises may be too difficult for some Seniors, we have a revised list in a section above.

Daily Dozen Model

Julianna Buziak is 69 years old today (21 May-2018) Happy Birthday, Julianna. She is physically active. Besides exercising daily she bikes,  swims and walks. She never drove a car, a bicycle is her only transportation. She is the model for the Daily Dozen Hallway Exercise Stations for Seniors Residents. She is also my mother.
